The Ukrainian defense-industrial complex developed a new Perun loitering munition.
The presentation of the drone, which has become an analogue of the Lancet, was held at one of the closed events.
Ukrainian development is a very close analogue of the Russian Lancet loitering munition.
The presentation video indicates that the length of the Perun is 1365 mm, width 1370 mm and 800 mm.
Perun is equipped with a double X-wing, which should allow it to provide the necessary lift while reducing the dimensions.
Such a solution is also aimed at achieving high speed for maintaining good controllability.
Presumably, an optical-electronic system which serves for observation and targeting is installed in the nose of the unmanned vehicle.
Low noise electric motor is placed in the tail part.
In the video, the Perun loitering munition is launched using a catapult.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who oversees the drones in the Ukrainian government, there are manufacturers who have already made the corresponding product.
“We are now scaling, there is a clear vision for timing and quantity. Today, the Lancet is a very effective weapon. We analyze application statistics. Hundreds of Lancets are produced every month, this is a big threat,” Fedorov said.
Recall that the Zala Aero company, part of the Kalashnikov concern, today produces two versions of the Lancet loitering munitions.
