Ukrainian forces in the Kherson direction have destroyed a modern Russian anti-aircraft missile and artillery system.

The destroyed Pantsir-S1 SAM was photographed at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Kakhovka HPP is located 5 kilometers from the city of Nova Kakhovka, which is under Russian occupation.

It is likely that the Russian Pantsir-S1 SAM was used to shoot down GMLRS missiles fired from the M142/M270 MLRS.

This universal short-range system is designed for air defense of the most important small-scale, point military and industrial facilities and units, as well as units of the ground forces.

It is also intended for strengthening air defense groups at low and extremely low altitudes from air attack means.

The Pantsir-S1 ammunition includes up to 12 57E6E missiles, as well as 30 mm 2A38M cannons.

The air defense system may be hit by an American missile.

The United States has handed over to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the AGM-88B HARM Block III anti-radiation missiles.

The missile is equipped with a 66 kg high-explosive warhead, the detonation of which is carried out using a non-contact laser fuse at a point of optimal (depending on the parameters of the final section of the flight path) splinter spread.

AGM-88B contains 25,000 steel submunitions, an explosive charge, a detonator, and a fuze.

Previously, the United States adapted HARM high-speed anti-radiation missiles for MiG-29 fighters of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
