The Minister of Defense of Lithuania reported about this on the X network. The drones that will be transferred to Ukraine are manufactured by Lithuanian companies Dangolakis, RSI Europe, Ltmiltech, Granta Autonomy and Unmanned Defense Systems. The drones will be delivered in a fully assembled form, which will reduce the time of transfer to combat units and preparation for flight. Prior to the purchase, the Ministry of Defense conducted the tests of Lithuanian combat drones in Ukraine in conditions as close to combat as possible.
The Defense Minister also noted that at its last meeting, the government had approved a new accelerated procedure for the transfer of state property.
“These changes will significantly reduce the time required for the procedures, ensuring that aid will arrive in Ukraine quickly,” she said.
In addition to Ukraine, more than 2,300 drones will be delivered to the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The purchase is worth €3 million.

Militarnyi previously reported that Ukraine would receive 30,000 FPV drones from the UK and other NATO member states.
30,000 drones will be sent to Ukraine after £45 million worth of contracts were placed by the International Drone Capability Coalition, co-led by the UK and Latvia as the UK steps up leadership supporting Ukraine in 2025.
Funding for the new 30,000 drones comes from the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Latvia and Sweden.
These state-of-the-art, first-person view drones will help Ukraine fight against Russian aggression, allowing Ukraine’s Armed Forces to manoeuvre past Russian air defences to target enemy positions and armoured vehicles."

string(3437) "The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine plans to engage foreign partners to develop and modernize equipment for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was reported by the official website of the Ministry of Defence.
The relevant document was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the initiative of the Ministry of Defence. It amends the Procedure for the development, mastering and production of new types of defense products.
In addition, the document regulates the termination of production of existing types of such products for Ukraine.
[caption id="attachment_243668" align="alignnone" width="1500"]

Thanks to the relevant amendments, the new mechanism applies to foreign defense procurement contracts and establishes clear conditions for cooperation with foreign partners.
“Foreign companies will be able to participate in the development and modernization of weapons subject to special permits for the transfer of military technology and export of relevant goods and services. Particular attention is paid to the modernization of state aviation aircraft, their components and equipment, as well as ships,” said Brigadier General Anatolii Klochko, Deputy Minister of Defense.
The adopted resolution describes in detail the mechanisms for transferring equipment for modernization, requirements for maintaining its serviceability, personnel training and quality control.
The idea is to involve Western companies that can maintain Soviet-era equipment. Most of this equipment has not been modernized for a long time, and some of it needs major repairs.

The resolution also regulates the distribution of intellectual property rights and the procedure for transferring created scientific and technical products.
“The innovations will allow us to meet the needs for the development of new models and modernization of existing weapons, military and special equipment. This will contribute to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities in the context of countering Russian aggression,” said Colonel Vladyslav Shostak, head of the State Research Institute of Aviation.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the military equipment that Sweden was providing to Ukraine as part of defense assistance would be serviced in service centers abroad.
Swedish experts will also train Ukrainians in the maintenance of this equipment.
In total, about 60 Swedish military personnel may be involved in the creation of logistics and maintenance centers for military equipment near Ukraine. This decision was made by the Swedish government."

string(3784) "Volodymyr Zelensky has decided to redirect mobilization resources to support the existing combat brigades of the Defense Forces.
This was reported by journalist Yurii Butusov, citing his own sources.
“Three days ago, at a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, after hearing a report, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelensky decided to stop sending replenishment of personnel to form new brigades in the Defense Forces,” Butusov said.
According to this decision, all mobilized personnel should be sent to replenish “exclusively to experienced combat brigades.”
Butusov explaines that this decision was made because of the critical problems of the newly created brigades, such as the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, formed in May 2024.
According to him, such units cannot replace the so-called old brigades in certain areas of the frontline on their own due to the inexperience of commanders, poor training of personnel, and low level of equipment and reconnaissance drones.
[caption id="attachment_284197" align="alignnone" width="1080"]

Zelensky's decision should solve the long-standing problem of the low priority given to the “old brigades” in terms of personnel, which has led to a steady decline in their combat readiness.
“The command sent one of the battalions of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade to the battle near Pokrovsk in the 155th Brigade's line with the task of taking one of the positions. The battalion arrived in full force to fulfill the task and sent all available soldiers - 8 infantrymen. It was a battalion of one of our best and most experienced brigades that was left without replenishment,” Butusov says, noting the consequences of this policy.

Nevertheless, KNDS plans to expand the production of these systems by attracting additional capacity in the United Kingdom, where, in addition to the platform itself, 155mm guns will be manufactured.
The production of barrels for tanks and artillery will take place under the Trinity House intergovernmental agreement signed by the German and British defense ministers on October 23 in London.
According to KNDS, the plant will, among other things, produce barrels for L55A1 120mm smoothbore guns for modernized Challenger 3 tanks, as well as rifled barrels for 155mm artillery systems.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that Germany planned to order about a hundred of the latest RCH 155 wheeled self-propelled howitzers, the initial customer of which was Ukraine.
According to journalists, after approving the purchase of 105 Leopard 2A8s in addition to 18 previously ordered combat vehicles, the German Ministry of Defense expressed interest in purchasing the same number of Boxer wheeled armored personnel carriers, of which 80 vehicles should be in the RCH 155 version."

string(2457) "German defense giant Rheinmetall will produce 155 mm ammunition for an unnamed international customer.
This is reported on the company's official website.
As part of this order from December 2024, Rheinmetall will supply five-digit quantities of 155 mm M107 artillery ammunition.
The total value of the signed contract is € 21 million, and the first deliveries are expected to begin in the first half of 2025.
[caption id="attachment_215366" align="alignnone" width="1024"]

The ammunition will be manufactured by Rheinmetall Expal Munitions in Spain.
The M107 is still among the world's most widely used artillery projectiles. Developed in the 1950s, this projectile was supplied to most 155mm artillery systems in the world.
Since its cost is much lower than the DM121 or the British L15A2, it is still used by some European countries as a main artillery projectile and continues to be actively produced.
At the same time, the company expects a significant increase in the number of manufactured ammunition as part of the expansion. As previously noted by the company's representatives, in the period from 2022 to 2027, the company aims to reach the production of 1.1 million shells per year.

Under the contract signed between the parties, the German company is to start supplying artillery shells in the first half of 2025.
In addition to the shells, Rheinmetall and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine recently signed a contract for the supply of 155 mm powder charges.
The contract is worth about €9 million."

string(4431) "The Russian military may have hit a North Korean anti-aircraft missile system that was transferred to them.
This was reported by the War Zone Telegram channel.
The system was shot down in the Kursk oblast and was initially presented by propagandists as a defeat of a Western-style radar station.
The damage was done with the help of an FPV drone. The published video footage and photos made it possible to partially compare the silhouette of the North Korean system with the targeted sample.
https://youtu.be/vbv_JxUfvPg
Despite the poor image quality, the silhouette of the North Korean short-range SAM and the affected system have similar features, including the deployment base, the location of the search radar station, and a certain similarity in shape.
[caption id="attachment_284933" align="alignnone" width="797"]
The similar elements of the silhouette of the damaged system and the North Korean air defense system during the parade. Photo: War Zone/KCNA[/caption]
It should also not be ruled out that, in addition to ballistic missiles and artillery systems, North Korea has begun supplying anti-aircraft systems. This may be due to the significant losses of similar systems in the Russian army due to the activity of FPV drones, artillery with precision-guided shells, and GMLRS missiles.
The first appearance of the new North Korean complex took place at a military parade in Pyongyang on October 10, 2020. The system has been classified by South Korean and American military experts as a short-range surface-to-air missile system (SAM) mounted on a semi-trailer.
https://youtu.be/NHsDRLxJqYA
At the same time, KODEF researcher and military expert Cheol-Gyun Lim stated in his paper that the system presented was exclusively a Lightning 6 (번개 6) radar and had no connection to an anti-aircraft system.
Nevertheless, other North Korean sources, such as the Far East Institute at Kyungnam University, together with the representatives of the Ministry of Defense, analyzed and classified the system as a “low-altitude air defense system.”
[caption id="attachment_284935" align="alignnone" width="1295"]
Comparison of search radars on the Pantsir SAM system and the North Korean SAM system. Photo: Ministry of Defence of Russian Federation/KCNA[/caption]
An analysis of the system presented at the parade suggested that the system was equipped with cells for vertical missile launch, which were probably similar to those used by the Russian Tor and Chinese HQ-17.
At the same time, the system resembles a launcher like the Tor system, a search radar similar to the Pantsir-S1, and a tracking radar similar to the Chinese HQ-17 system.
[caption id="attachment_284936" align="alignnone" width="1500"]

Despite the visual similarities, South Korean experts believe that the North Korean system's guidance method is different, as the escort radar lacks additional missile guidance antennas, which are present on the Tor and HQ-17 and provide radio command control.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the North Korean M1989 Koksan long-range 170mm self-propelled artillery systems (SAU) had reached the front.
As a reminder, in December 2024, eyewitnesses in Russia captured on video the transportation of a train with North Korean M1989 Koksan howitzers by rail. This was the second time such artillery systems had been transported."

string(3344) "The soldiers of the K-2 Mechanized Battalion armed themselves with a trophy Russian T-90S tank.
A video of its capture was published on the unit's official YouTube page.
The enemy tank was found abandoned after an unsuccessful assault by an enemy armored group. The battalion then began planning an operation to evacuate it.
At the time the tank was in the field, the soldiers could not determine its modification due to the massive anti-drone protection that made it difficult to inspect in detail.

The first step in evacuating the tank was to inspect it, as there was a possibility of an explosive device. The soldiers got to the combat vehicle through the “gray zone” and carefully checked it for any “surprises”. After making sure there were no explosives, they examined the tank.
Next to the tank were two anti-tank mines, which were thrown aside to provide a safe evacuation route.
https://youtu.be/Kz90QZl9xlE
During the video recording, an electric pneumatic valve for the gun was noticed inside the tank, which confirmed that the vehicle belonged to the new versions of the T-series. There were also inscriptions in English on the switches and buttons.
The tank was able to start after replacing the batteries and minor technical manipulations. The only problem was the trawl, which was buried in the ground. Nevertheless, after the tank moved off, the trawl was successfully raised.

According to a soldier with the call sign “Kochevnik”, one of the reasons for the loss of the tank to the enemy could be the crew's bad nerves. This is confirmed by the fact that the tank was in third gear, which suggests that the engine may have been stalled during the attack and the crew may have left the vehicle in a hurry.
The driver's seat was equipped with two additional cameras along with the standard triplex, which significantly improved situational awareness. The tank's gunner and commander also had similar cameras.
“The vehicle is very interesting, the gun is fresh, replaced. They were shooting from closed positions,” said Nomad.
Later it turned out that the captured tank had been a T-90S, which had been modernized for the Indian Army. Unlike Soviet vehicles, it is equipped with thermal imagers for the gunner and commander, a remote-controlled turret and other special equipment.
Currently, the tank will be used by the regiment's armored group to destroy the enemy with its own weapons.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the soldiers of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade had repelled a Russian assault in the Siverskyi direction."

The video was released by the battalion's press service.
“Thanks to precise strikes and the use of modern technologies, we successfully neutralize threats, in particular, the Grad multiple rocket launcher system, ensuring the security of the region and raising the morale of all Ukrainian defenders,” the statement reads.
According to the released footage, the drone hit the back of the launcher, which caused the detonation of the entire ammunition.

The “War in Ukraine. Losses of Equipment” project detailed that the Grad was destroyed near the village of Mykolaivka, in the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region.
A comparison with the DeepState project's map shows that the MRL was destroyed nearly 14 kilometers from the front line.

On December 15, it was reported that the brigade's units repelled a massive Russian assault in the direction of Siversk.
In total, about 30 armored vehicles, as well as more than 70 motorcycles and buggies, were involved, which in several waves and from different directions tried to break through to the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
To intercept the enemy columns, the brigade actively used FPV drones, which were used against both heavily armored vehicles and Russian infantry, motorcycles and buggies."

string(3257) "The Ukrainian company Dron ZP has developed a turret that is capable of shooting down enemy drones.
Recently, soldiers of the unmanned systems battalion of the 15th National Guard Brigade participated in testing this weapon.
The system is equipped with a 12.7-caliber machine gun and a night vision device.
According to the National Guard, “neural network elements are used to control the system.”

The system is controlled by a joystick with a monitor. It is stated that the turret tests were successful at the test site.
“Soon, after the necessary improvements, such systems could play a role in the defense lines of Ukrainian defenders,” the National Guard added.

The turret itself is immobile, as it is mounted on a truck trailer that must be transported to its position by road.
The company is also developing mobile ground drones that can carry turrets or help in evacuation.
Last year, volunteers raised UAH 293,000 to buy a ground platform from Dron ZP for the military.

In Ukraine, various ground-based drones have been operating on the front lines for several years to transport weapons and explosives, remotely mine and clear mines, and evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
The main purpose of these devices was to minimize the involvement of Ukrainian forces on the battlefield, helping to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.

Reaction to the problems of the 155th Brigade
Earlier, journalist Yurii Butusov reported on the facts of improper formation and provision of the newly created 155th Mechanized Brigade. There were reports of desertions, in particular during training in France. The State Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation into this. According to Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi, Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the formation of the brigade there was a formal attitude on the part of those in charge: This included inadequate management and control of the entire process; mistakes in recruitment and not always well-considered decisions on the management of the brigade's personnel; imperfect planning of training both in Ukraine and abroad; and a delayed reaction of the high command to the problems that arose in the process of creating and acquiring capabilities by the new combat unit of the Land Forces. He assured that most of the systemic shortcomings committed by the Land Forces Command, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the Operational Command at all stages of the 155th Brigade's formation have been analyzed, assessed, and solutions to some issues are already being implemented. Currently, the Ground Forces Command is focused on manning the brigade with experienced officers and commanders of all ranks. At the same time, the Ministry of Defence will work to provide the brigade with maximum support." It is not yet known whether this system will be immediately delivered to Ukraine or used to train Ukrainian crews in Germany. https://youtu.be/nUQNxSl-ylk The event was announced on January 9, when German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius told the media that in 2025 Ukraine would receive the first six of the latest 155 mm wheeled RCH 155 self-propelled artillery systems. In addition, it was noted that the first of those artillery systems would be delivered about a week after the announcement for 2025. Initially, in 2022, Ukraine planned to purchase 18 units of RCH 155 artillery systems, but later the number of ordered units increased to 36, and later to 54. The delivery date for the first systems was constantly postponed because KNDS could not start production quickly. In addition to Ukraine, the United Kingdom also became an additional export customer. “Edelweiss” Brigade
On December 17, Militarnyi reported that Russian assault groups were defeated by the Edelweiss brigade in the Donetsk region near the village of Vyymka. The Ukrainian military shot down all the advancing Russian armored vehicles. Then the invaders tried to advance with infantry, which was already being hit by FPV drones. Ukrainian soldiers also used incendiary shells from drones, which are used to destroy fortifications where enemy infantry is hiding.
