Operators of the Special Operations Forces master Ukrainian Snipex T-REX anti-materiel rifles

Operators of the Special Operations Forces received Ukrainian Snipex T-REX large-caliber anti-materiel rifles.

This was announced by Ukrainian politician Anton Herashchenko.

A video featuring special forces testing a Ukrainian rifle was recently released.

In 2021, two “Snipex T-REX” and “Snipex ALLIGATOR” caliber 14.5×114 mm long-range rifles were adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The rifles were manufactured by the Kharkiv company XADO-Holding Ltd.

Both rifles are designed to hit the moving and stationary targets of the enemy – manpower and light-armored vehicles.

Both have a floating barrel and the same design of the mechanism that dampens recoil during the shot.

The dimensions are also similar, they are 1.2 meters long and weigh 25 kilograms.

The effective range of the bullet and the flight range is the same – 2 and 7 kilometers, respectively.

The difference between the models is that the Snipex T-REX is a single-shot rifle, and the Snipex ALLIGATOR has a detachable box magazine for five rounds.

Snipex T-REX

The rifle 14.5 × 114 is designed to destroy moving and stationary targets, including light-armored.

Accuracy is provided by a floating barrel, which is in free recoil when the bullet flies out.

Recoil is suppressed due to the muzzle brake, the effect of a recoil isolator, an elastic multilayer shoulder pad, and a balanced weight.

In Snipex T-Rex, a bullpup layout is used: the breech and action are located behind the trigger.

The barrel is closed with a longitudinal-sliding rotary shutter; 13 combat stops are arranged in three rows and provide a rigid barrel lock.

When reloaded, the magazine is placed into the receiver with the shutter open.

The rifle has a height-adjustable cheekbone, Picatinny rail and folding bipods. The bipods are mounted on a support that slides on the barrel.

The additional back support is adjustable, providing the possibility of exact adjustment. The rifle has a carrying handle.

The cheekbone, butt back and handles are made of modern, durable polymeric materials.

The surface of the rifle is covered with a special weapon paint Cerakote.
