Ukrainian anti-tank troops destroyed several Russian armored vehicles in a matter of minutes.
Militarnyi reports about it with reference to 1st Brigade.
The attack was executed by Soldiers of the 1st Independent Special Service Brigade named after Ivan Bohun.
First, the Ukrainian anti-tank missile complex crew destroyed one armored vehicle.
Then the fighters quickly reloaded the anti-tank complex and destroyed the second unit of the Russian military.
The fighters destroyed one tank and an infantry fighting vehicle, according to the brigade.
Ukrainian fighters used Ukrainian anti-tank missile system Skif.
The Skif anti-tank missile system is an export version of the Stugna-P anti-tank missile system, which was transferred at the disposal of Ukrainian defenders in the beginning of a full-scale invasion.
In the video, on the portable remote control, some foreign language is identified, not Ukrainian.
The Skif ATGM uses a semi-automatic laser guidance system. Target detection and guidance are ensured by optical and infrared sights, which improves shooting performance in difficult weather conditions.
In 2018, the Skif ATGM’s design underwent some upgrades aimed to adapt the launcher for use in soft soils and sand for customers from the Middle East.
The missile didn’t suffer any changes, as it was initially designed for use in all climatic and weather conditions, with no exceptions. The Ukrainian missile system can hit small targets such as long-term firing points, trench tanks, lightly armored targets, and helicopters, making it a versatile fire deterrent on the battlefield.
