The Russian Federation creates a one hundred thousand soldiers force grouping, and it is possible that in the summer the enemy will try to carry out an offensive in one of the directions.
This was stated by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk in the telethon.
“Russian plans are not fully clear to us. We only know the data they have, what they create. They create force grouping with more than 100 thousand soldiers. It won’t necessarily be an offensive. Perhaps they will replenish their units that are losing their combat capability,” Pavliuk said.
According to the Commander, the possibility that at the beginning of the summer they may have certain forces to conduct appropriate offensive operations in one of the directions is not ruled out.
“These are so far such dire predictions that such an offensive will happen. We will do everything in order to inflict maximum losses on the enemy, so that all their resources that they form are involved in the battle at this time. But we are preparing for a different development of the situation,” the Commander added.
Pavliuk also recalled that Ukraine now does not have air superiority, and this allows the enemy to launch powerful airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
The Commander said that military partners in Europe well understood the consequences of the fall of Ukraine in the war.
“If we fail to keep the enemy in Ukraine, the next country will be the NATO country,” he said.
Pavliuk said that invaders continue to conduct offensive operations on the front line and shell peaceful cities.
As previously reported, on the night of March 22, Russian invaders fired more than 60 Shahed loitering munitions and almost 90 missiles of various types in Ukraine.
This was the largest attack on Ukrainian energy facilities in recent times. As a result, some regions have problems with energy supply.
Power plants, transmission and distribution systems in various areas were hit. There were hits on the largest hydroelectric power station in Ukraine – Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant in Zaporizhzhia.
