Oil depot is on fire in Russian-occupied Makiivka

A large fire is observed at the oil depot in Makiivka, Donetsk Region, which is temporarily occupied by the Russian troops.

Eyewitnesses report that today, May 4, an explosion at an oil depot was observed in Makiivka. After the explosion, a fire broke out.

Published photos and videos feature the oil depot burning and thick black smoke rising into the sky.

The occupation administration of Makiivka also reports this fire.

Leaders of the pro-Russian militants are also making claims that the fire was caused by the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of now, there is no information about the victims. The fire has not been extinguished yet.

Russian propagandists, citing separatists, reported that four 5,000-tonne oil tanks are on fire after shelling in Makiivka.

This depot was concentrating fuel for the supply to Russian invaders, who are now trying to completely occupy the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

Last week, in the temporarily Russian-occupied city of Donetsk, the local oil depot was on fire.

The Russian invaders blamed the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the incident.
