North Korea denies the US claims about the secret transfer of weapons to the Russian Federation.
CNN reported about this with reference to the Korean Central News Agency.
The official authorities of the DPRK believe that the United States was attempting “to tarnish the image” of North Korea in the international arena.
“We have never had ‘arms dealings’ with Russia… we have no plan to do so in the future,” the statement said.
As previously reported, on November 5, OSINT researchers recorded a train heading from North Korea to the Russian Federation. It was first recorded on the Korean side of the border, and in a few hours – on the tracks of the Russian Hassan station.
It is not known what exactly was transported by train, as the wagons were closed.
The cargo train was spotted amid US claims that Pyongyang secretly supplies ammunition to the Russian Federation. This was stated by John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council in the White House.
He noted that it is about a “significant number” of shells. The information he gave was received by the U.S. intelligence.
CNN reported that the intelligence comes about two months after the U.S. intelligence community stated Russia was buying millions of missiles and artillery shells from North Korea.
At the end of September, North Korea has denied supplying its weapons to the Russian Federation.
