Border guards do not detect enemy strike groups capable of launching an offensive, neither in Belarus, nor in the self-proclaimed Transnistria, nor on the border with Sumy and Chernihiv Region.
Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, told about this at a briefing.
He noted that there are no significant changes in the mode of operation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
“There are no signs of new enemy groups assembling. Divisions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus remain in rotation and keep completing their tasks of covering the Belorussian-Ukrainian border in Brest and Gomel regions,” he said.
The situation remains the same at the Transnistria segment of the border as well. The Defense Forces of Ukraine are taking measures to prevent provocations.
The Russian Federation keeps separate divisions of their armed forces in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions.
“This is supposed to demonstrate their presence and constrain the actions of Ukrainian defence forces,” Demchenko added.
The enemy continues launching attacks on the territory of Chernihiv and Sumy Regions. They are launching artillery, mortars, and small arms attacks every day.
In just one week, the Border Guard Service recorded over a hundred attacks on the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy Regions, six of them launched from aviation. Russian unmanned aerial vehicles also keep dropping explosives.
As previously reported, on July 2, Alexander Lukashenko, self-appointed President of the Republic of Belarus, stated that he gave an order to “target” government buildings in Kyiv.
