On the roads in the Nizhyn district of the Chernihiv region, there are columns of broken armored vehicles of the Russian army.

Militarnyi informs about this with reference to Kruty Amalgamated Territorial Community.

During the combat actions, the Russian military had set up their headquarters in the village of Khoroshe Ozero and tried to pass through Nizhyn.

In Nizhyn itself, as a result of the shelling, 5 municipal buildings, 25 multi-story buildings, 54 private houses, and 1 enterprise were destroyed or damaged.

Nizhyn’s Territorial Defense, which was positioned at the forward checkpoints and was conducting the cleanup, had also proven itself in combat.

Much work has been done by the Territorial Defense to coordinate strikes on the enemy and transmit accurate information on the location of enemy equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result, Ukrainian Defense Forces had defeated the 90th Guards Tank Vitebsk-Novgorod Twice Red Banner Division.

Broken columns of equipment of the 6th Guards Tank Regiment of this division remained on the streets in the Nizhyn district of the Chernihiv region.

“The remnants of the 90th Panzer Division, which spent a month trying to cause trouble in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region. They were destroying villages, killing people, drinking, stealing,” said the Kruty community.

In particular, T-72B3 and T-72BA tanks, BTR-82 armored personnel carriers, bridge-builders, trucks, infantry fighting vehicles, senior battery officer’s vehicles, and 152-mm Msta-S self-propelled howitzers were destroyed.

The Thor all-weather tactical anti-aircraft missile system was also destroyed by the Defense Forces.

Currently, in the districts of the Chernihiv region that are controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, the institutions are fully functioning and the normal operations are maintained, said Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional District Administration.
