Volunteers showed a new version of the Ukrainian military surface drone.

Footage of the surface drones was shown by Ukrainian volunteers Serhii Sternenko and Ihor Lachenkov.

The photos show two drones named “Bakhmut” and “For Raccoon” (ukr. – “За Єнота”).

Presumably, drones have a warhead and will be used as strikes against Russian naval targets.

Currently, a fleet of marine unmanned vehicles is being built in Ukraine, which should protect the waters of the Ukrainian seas and prevent Russian warships from active operations.

Multirole unmanned surface vehicles are a unique Ukrainian development.

Drones can participate in long-range reconnaissance, coastal activity monitoring, escorting and supporting the traditional fleet, a convoy of merchant ships, adjusting missile and artillery fire, protecting Ukrainian bases, and countering amphibious operations.

The first Ukrainian marine drones were equipped with an autopilot system, video subsystems, including night vision, backup communication modules and a warhead.

The USV also includes a ground-based autonomous control post, a transportation and storage system, as well as a data center.

The new version does not show the Starlink antennas and other devices that were probably installed in the hull.

On March 22, Russian authorities stated that the Russian military allegedly repelled the attack of surface drones on occupied Sevastopol.

“A total of three objects were destroyed by this hour. They tried to enter the bay, and our sailors fired small arms at them. An air defense also operated against air targets,” stated the so-called head of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
