The Pentagon revealed the details of a new military aid package for Ukraine.
The list was released by VoA news journalist Ostap Yarysh.
As previously reported, U.S. President Joe Biden had a telephone conversation with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky. U.S. President during the conversation announced the new $625 million aid package to Ukraine.
The U.S. leader also assured that the United States will never recognize Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian territories and will support Kyiv as long as necessary.
According to Ostap Yarysh, the military aid package will include:
“President Biden pledged to continue supporting Ukraine as it defends itself from Russian aggression for as long as it takes, including the provision today of a new $625 million security assistance package that includes additional weapons and equipment, including HIMARS, artillery systems and ammunition, and armored vehicles,” the White House informed.
President Biden also affirmed the continued readiness of the United States to impose severe costs on any individual, entity, or country that provides support to Russia’s purported annexation.
This will be Washington’s first military assistance after Russia’s announced annexation of the territory of four regions.
In total, the United States has provided more than $16.8 billion in military aid to Ukraine to fight Russia.
As previously reported, American М142 HIMARS rocket artillery systems carry six GMLRS multiple rockets or one MGM-140 ATACMS missile.
The 105mm M119 howitzer is usually towed by M1097 or M1152 military SUV (HMMWV), and can also be easily lifted by helicopter or dropped by parachute.
The M777 howitzers are 155 mm towed howitzers equipped with a 39-calibre barrel.
