A large-scale fire broke out in the village of Dragunskoye of the Belgorod region, near the Frunzenskaya power substation after a strike.
The incident was reported by ASTRA analysts who analyzed the video and related materials. According to them, the substation is located 30 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
The released video shows pillars of fire and smoke rising above the industrial part of the village.
The residents of nearby buildings confirm on social media that it was a section of the energy hub that was on fire.
This is not the first attack on this facility. In the past months, Frunzenskaya has also been hit by unidentified drones.
Earlier, Belgorod Region Governor Gladkov confirmed the fire in Dragunskoye, but did not specify which facility was damaged. He limited himself to saying “on the territory of one of the facilities.”
OSINT data shows that the fire center fully corresponds to the contour of the substation. The video shows characteristic light flashes typical of transformer oil burning.
Russian firefighting units arrived at the scene a few minutes after the attack. The footage shows flashing beacons and the operation of special equipment.
Due to the proximity of the substation to the border, the region regularly uses backup power lines.
However, local resources have already reported power outages after nighttime explosions.
According to official statements by the Russian Federation, all the circumstances of the incident are still being established, but the available video footage confirms that the substation elements were hit precisely and the equipment was subsequently detonated.
As a reminder, Belgorod was recently plunged into darkness after another attack on the Luch thermal power plant.
