To increase the POWs exchange fund in Ukraine, the Ukranian military is offered a money reward for captured Russians.

Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Zolkin explains the new prices for different categories of prisoners.

This reward calls on Ukrainian fighters to replenish the fund of prisoners for further exchanges with the Russian side.

Captured fighters from Ramzan Kadyrov’s units cost more than even Russian officers.

The journalist published updated “prices” for prisoners:

• Donbas fighters – $200;
• Enlisted personnel and sergeants, warrant officers – $300;
• Former criminal prisoners from the Russian Federation – $300;
• Junior Officer – $400;
• Senior Officers and special forces operators – $500;
• Special forces operators and Afghans from the so-called “Private Companies” – $600;
• So-called kadyrovtsi – $700.

Volodymyr said that such “prices” can be explained by the fact that in Russia residents of Donbas are not considered as people. Instead, kadyrovtsy usually are at the top of prisoner swap lists. Zolkin also published instructions based on which the reward would be paid.

Recall that journalist Volodymyr Zolkin on his YouTube channel publishes interviews with prisoners of the Russian military.

He submitted the idea to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs and started the interviews. This initiative was encouraged by the Ministry.

The journalist warned that the Ukrainian military should not risk its life in order to capture the occupier, but if possible, it is better to do this in order to return the Ukrainian military.

Recently, President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that Ukraine remembers everyone who is held captive by the Russian invaders and will do everything to return everyone.

Zelensky added that the team involved in the exchanges is constantly working.

“It’s Budanov, it’s Yermak, Usov, Lubinets and others who help. In total, since March, 1 thousand 31 people have already been released from Russian captivity. Thank you to the whole team for this result,” the President said.
