German defense giant HENSOLDT has opened its own innovation center in Ukraine.

German Aid to Ukraine reported this on its X page.

The company, known as a leading supplier of air surveillance radar stations, aims to bring its technological base as close as possible to the combat zone.

The manufacturer’s key product, actively used by the Ukrainian military, is the TRML-4D radar. These stations are an integral part of the IRIS-T SLM air defense missile systems.

Thanks to the new center, specialists will be able to diagnose and repair these complex systems without having to transport them out of the country.

In July 2025, HENSOLDT received a major order to supply radars to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.

TRML-4D radars and SPEXER 2000 3D MkIII short-range radars will be delivered as part of the order package worth over €340 million.
