Lukashenko Deploys Military for Crop Harvest

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has announced that military personnel will assist local farmers with this season’s harvest.

To support the initiative, dozens of military vehicles and servicemen have been deployed.

In particular, combined platoons have been formed from personnel of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces, as well as the Northwestern and Western Operational Commands.

They are being deployed to support the country’s agricultural sector.

Military personnel are assisting farmers in the Vitebsk, Mogilev, and Gomel regions. Using trucks, they transport grain harvested by combines from the fields to storage facilities.

The director of JSC Belenyevo in the Vitebsk region noted that servicemen of the Belarusian Armed Forces have been supporting the agricultural organization since 2005. For the duration of their deployment, accommodations for soldiers and officers are provided by local farms and municipal authorities.
