Liutyi UAVs Hit Main Facility of Tor SAM and Garpiya Drone Producer

On the morning of Tuesday, July 1, Ukrainian Liutyi strike drones hit the Kupol Electromechanical Plant in Izhevsk, Russia.

Eyewitnesses recorded the strike, which was accompanied by explosions and subsequent fire.

This facility produces Tor surface-to-air missile systems and radar stations.

The plant also assembles Garpiya strike drones at various sites across the city.

This Russian plant is part of the Almaz-Antey conglomerate, a leading manufacturer of air defense systems.

Open-source investigators from the Cyberboroshno community confirmed the strike on the main facility of the enterprise by analyzing eyewitness videos of the attack available online.

In the footage, Russians can be heard attempting to shoot down the Ukrainian strike drones with small arms fire, underscoring the importance of the targeted facility within the military industry of the Russian Federation.
