Lithuania has repaired and transferred to Ukraine two more 155mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery systems.

This was announced by Arvydas Anušauskas, Minister of Defense of Lithuania.

He noted that German-made howitzers had already returned to Ukraine after carrying out the necessary repair work. Together with self-propelled systems, ammunition was also sent to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Two more PzH2000 howitzers were repaired and delivered to Ukraine. Along with ammunition,” Anušauskas wrote on Twitter.

Thus, Lithuania has already repaired six such self-propelled howitzers for Ukrainian gunners.

In October, it became known that Lithuania will repair 12 Panzerhaubitze 2000 for Ukraine.

Artillery systems are being restored at Lithuania Defense Services (LDS).

Thanks to this enterprise, Ukraine can carry out fast and high-quality service of its PzH 2000 in Lithuania.

The transfer of additional ammunition to Ukraine was announced by the Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anusauskas on November 21 after a meeting of the State Defense Council.

German-made PzH 2000 self-propelled long-range artillery systems are being actively used by the Ukrainian military in the war against the Russian invasion forces.

As known, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received from Germany 14 PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery systems. Another 8 such 155mm ACSs were transferred from the Netherlands.

Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a German self-propelled artillery system with an autoloading system and a high level of automation of all systems. For firing, these self-propelled guns use separate loading artillery rounds standard in the armies of NATO states. The gun barrel with rifled channel is 52 calibers long. The ammunition package consists of 60 shells and 228 modular propellant charges. The range of firing with standard ammunition reaches 30 km.
