Kazan Left Without Electricity After Flashes in Night Sky

A large-scale blackout occurred in Kazan, Russia, after a series of flashes on the horizon and powerful explosions.

On the night of November 29, local sources reported at least three explosions on the outskirts of the city, after which a bright blue glow appeared over the areas, Russian Telegram channels, including TATMEDIA, reported.

The explosions were heard near the village of Osynovo, located about 11 km from Kazan.

After the incident, some residential areas were left without electricity, and the city was in a complete blackout.

Eyewitnesses suggest that the likely cause was an accident at a local substation, although there is no official confirmation of this.

Some ‘experts’ speculate on the remoteness from the potential threat from Ukraine: the accident site is located about 970 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Moreover, they ridicule the ‘panic’ in the comments.

And the flashes in the sky are explained as illumination from a “large screen in the center of Kazan” that allegedly creates a similar light effect.

Despite the resonance and variety of assumptions from local residents, the authorities deny the possibility of a UAV attack and do not link the nighttime explosions to the likelihood of such a fact.

In particular, the head of the Zelenodolskyi municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan and the mayor of Zelenodolsk assure that the flashes in the sky are not related to the drone attack.

As a reminder, Ukrainian drones recently massively attacked the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation.

In addition, the temporarily occupied Crimea also came under a simultaneous massive attack.
