Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released new footage of an underground facility housing its medium- and long-range air defense systems.
The video shows not only the launchers but also large stockpiles of interceptor missile containers stored inside the fortified site, according to BBC senior reporter Farzad Seifikaran.
It also features an intact Iranian-made Khordad-15 surface-to-air missile system.
The Khordad-15 system was first introduced in 2019 by Iran’s then Defence Minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami.
The IRGC released new footage from one of its missile cities, showing a large number of air defense missiles & launchers, claims that these have been used to target an F-35.

To intercept aerial targets, the system uses Sayyad-3 surface-to-air guided missiles. According to Iranian military officials, the Khordad-15 can detect up to six different targets simultaneously.
The system is designed to engage both aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles at a range of up to 150 kilometers.
It is claimed that the Khordad-15 can detect stealth aircraft at a range of up to 85 kilometers. In particular, the IRGC states that these systems were used to strike an F-35 fighter jet.
