The Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has arrested an engineering student who secretly filmed a ballistic missile storage facility at one of its sites.

According to an X user Open Source Intel, the student accessed the restricted area during an official introductory tour for prospective engineers.

Despite a strict ban, he used his mobile phone to record dozens of missiles ready for use.

Footage later posted online enabled identification of the missiles as short-range ballistic missiles from the Fateh-110 family.

These systems form the backbone of Tehran’s missile arsenal and began entering service with combat units in 2002.

IRGC intelligence services quickly identified the video’s author and made the arrest. Iranian authorities view the publication of the footage as espionage and treason.

Under Iranian law, the disclosure of state secrets at military facilities can result in a lengthy prison sentence or the death penalty.
