The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine believes that the invaders have sufficient potential for long-term war.
According to information published by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky, the enemy used 103 battalion-tactical groups (BTGs) in Ukraine.
These Russians troops participate in combat.
Another 40 enemy BTGr remain in reserve and can be used against the Defense Forces of Ukraine later.
However, the Institute for the Study of War believes that the forces accumulated by the enemy are unlikely to be fully combat-ready.
It is believed that the 40 BTGs mentioned by Vadim Skibitsky lack sufficient combat capacity.
“This report is highly unlikely to mean Russian forces retain 40 full-strength and effective BTGs in Russia. At most, these “BTGs” are likely small collections of personnel cobbled together from other units. The Russian military is additionally unlikely to be holding such a significant portion of its force in reserve due to continuing manpower shortages in existing frontline units,” the statement said.
Skibitsky also said that due to frontline failures, the general staff of the enemy adjusts invasion plans every 30 days.
“We have confirmed information that the Russians have a plan for 120 days of war. Further adjustment of this plan will depend on whether the enemy succeeds or fails in the East of Ukraine. Nevertheless, the Russians could not achieve the goal of the so-called special military operation, proclaimed by Putin at the beginning of the war,”– said the representative of the Defense Intelligence Vadim Skibitsky.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that the Ukrainian military effectively repelled enemy attacks in the Severodonetsk area, as well as on the other territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Previously, the General Staff has reported on the concentration of up to seven battalions of the Belarusian armed forces on the border with Ukraine. Also, the military of Belarus is transferring military equipment closer to the border.
