Taiwanese industrialists signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the drone industry with Ukrainian and Polish partners during the International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO 2025 in Poland.
This was reported by the manager of MSPO 2025 – Targi Kielce.
On the first day of MSPO 2025, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Polish company POLTAIW APEX and the Taiwanese Thunder Tiger Corporation. The Ukrainian technology cluster IRON Lviv and the Taiwanese alliance of drone manufacturers Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunities Alliance (TEDIBOA) also signed an official agreement.
The IRON Lviv cluster and the TEDIBOA alliance have agreed to cooperate to create a platform for future industrial cooperation between the two countries. The organizations plan to conduct joint marketing and business development in the field of drones, as well as jointly participate in international business initiatives.
The TEDIBOA alliance was founded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan in September 2024 and brings together key Taiwanese industry players. The main goal of the association is to promote the development of Taiwan’s drone sector, help domestic companies access international markets, and promote technological cooperation and strategic partnerships.
IRON is a defense technology cluster based in Lviv. It brings together more than 80 Ukrainian companies and startups and helps participants integrate solutions, scale production, and raise funding to develop international cooperation.
IRON members develop advanced solutions in the fields of robotics, electronics, radio communications, unmanned systems, and implement innovations for the front line. They work as an innovative ecosystem that brings together business, government, military units and scientific and technical institutes to develop technologies in Ukraine.
In particular, on August 1st-2nd, Lviv hosted IRON DEMO 2025, a key event of the Ukrainian defense tech sector, which brought together about 1000 participants and 78 companies that presented hundreds of innovative products in the areas of electronic warfare, UAVs and ground robotics created for the front line.
According to the memorandum, a Polish company will distribute components for Taiwanese-made drones. The Polish company will become a global distributor of these spare parts and supply them to drone manufacturers not only in Europe but also around the world.
The Taiwanese Thunder Tiger Corporation has been producing radio-controlled models for 40 years, and in 2015 launched its own division specializing in the production of drones. The company now offers a range of reconnaissance multicopters of various sizes, ground robotic systems, and underwater drones.
POLTAIW APEX is a Polish company that develops a specialized online platform for high-quality components and technologies for drones.
“These are quality products. Today’s memorandum of understanding is another one we have signed with a company operating in Taiwan. Our experience of such cooperation is very good; they are reliable partners, so we are expanding our scope of activities,” said Wojciech Sochacki, Managing Director of POLTAIW APEX.
