India is attacking Pakistan with Israeli-made Harop kamikaze drones. Air defense is actively shooting them down.

Officials reported this. Photos of the drone wreckage are posted on social media.

Nine cities in the east of the country, including Lahore, Karachi, Chakwal, and Gujranwala, are reportedly under attack by drones.

In the morning, Pakistani armed forces spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reported that at least 12 drones had been shot down, according to Global Defense Insight.

He stated that one of the drones in Lahore injured four soldiers.

However, reports of Indian kamikaze drones, including Harop, being shot down later began to increase.

More and more photos of the wreckage, as well as videos of Pakistani air defense operations, are being published online. I use, in particular, 35-mm Oerlikon GDF and Skyguard anti-aircraft guns to shoot down drones.

Currently, Defense Pakistan (@Defense_PK99) reports that 35 drones have been shot down, but this information cannot be verified.

At the same time, Indian social media users publish footage of the damaged objects. In particular, they claim to have struck the Chinese-made air defense missile systems of the Pakistan Army.

The Harop UAV weighing 135 kg can stay in the sky for up to 6 hours and cover 1000 km during this time, and, if a target is detected, can be used as a high-precision barrage munition. The warhead weighs 16 kg.

If no targets are spotted by the operator during the patrol, Harop returns. To detect targets, the UAV is equipped with optoelectronic and radar stations.

The UAVs are launched from a container placed on a self-propelled or trailed launcher.
