A truck carrying armored personnel carriers seized from Ukraine overturned in Bashkortostan, Russia, as a result of a traffic accident.

During the incident, a KAMAZ truck with a trawl collided with a Kia passenger car, resulting in injuries.

As a result of the collision, the truck slid into a ditch and rolled over on its side, injuring two people. The Kia car also went off the road and into a ditch.

According to reports, the Russian truck was transporting VAB and M113 armored personnel carriers captured in the war against Ukraine to Ufa.

Currently, the government is organizing exhibitions across Russia called “NATO Trophy Equipment” to showcase military equipment captured during the war against Ukraine.

The French VAB APC and the American M113 APC were transported to participate in one of these exhibitions.

The purpose of such events is to show ordinary Russian citizens the alleged superiority of Russian weapons over NATO equipment. At the same time, the government is silent about its own significant losses of armored vehicles in the war.

According to the Oryx analytical project, which documents lost equipment with photo and video evidence, as of May 1, 2025, Russia has lost 21,550 pieces of military equipment, including almost 4,000 tanks.

Such exhibitions not only serve propaganda purposes but can also be dangerous.

In April, a tragedy occurred at an exhibition in Komsomolsk-on-Amur when the hatch of an M113 armored personnel carrier fatally struck a four-year-old child.

Then the armored personnel carrier’s ramp folded back and fell directly on the child, killing him.

This January, Ukrainian soldiers of the 118th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade captured a Russian T-62M tank.
