Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue sweeping the territory from the Russian troops who managed to cross the Siversky Donets in the Bilohorivka district of the Luhansk region.

This regards approximately 80 invaders who passed the crossing.

Serhii Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, announced this.

He noted that the situation in the area of the settlement remains difficult, yet the Ukrainian servicemen continue the cleanup.

“About 80 ruscists ended up on our shore, the hunt continues, there are not many left,” he said.

The invaders tried to create a pontoon crossing over Siversky Donets and transfer their equipment and personnel to the Ukraine-controlled side, but their attempt was in vain. As of now, all the pontoon crossings were destroyed, along with all the equipment.

At the same time, the rescuers are waiting for the opportunity to reach Bilohorivka to dismantle the consequences of the previous destruction. People might still be trapped under the rubble.

Previously, as a result of attacks in Bilohorivka on May 7, a fire in the school building and the house of culture on an area of almost 300 sq.m broke out.

At that time, 30 people were evacuated from under the rubble, but this is not all of the people that were hiding from the shelling in those buildings. Probably, around 60 residents have died.

Also, rescuers cannot get to Shipylivka, where they also need to dismantle the rubble.

There, on May 9, contact was lost with eleven people who were hiding from shelling in the basement.

The morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the enemy continues to prepare for offensive operations in the areas of Voievodivka, Toshkivka, and Nyzhne in the Luhansk region, as well as in Kamyanka (Yasynuvata district) of the Donetsk region.
