Britain is examining the platforms on which the Brimstone missiles could be mounted so that they can be used effectively by the Ukrainian servicemen.

James Gippi, Deputy Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom announced the transfer of the anti-ship missiles in the Parliament, the BBC writes.

This announcement followed the statement of Prime Minister Boris Johnson that the question of the platforms on which these missiles could be mounted, including cars, was being examined.

According to Gippi, the tests had been successful and in the coming weeks, the weapons would be at the disposal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Brimstone is a surface-to-surface or air-to-surface missile. It is equipped with a new radar homing head, which is capable of capturing objects. In the new version, the range of the missile from the aircraft is 60 km. When launching a missile from the ground, the range decreases to 10 to 12 km.

Britain is testing the use of these missiles on naval platforms.

Previously, in the fall of last year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could be receiving the British Brimstone Sea Spear missiles.
