The Armed Forces of Ukraine have stopped the advance of a tank unit of the russian troops in the Chernihiv region.

The Operational Command “North” announced today, March 13, that military units and units of the operational coalition continue to successfully fulfill the tasks of protecting the Ukrainian land from russian invasion.

“This time, the misfortune happened with the tank unit, which aimed to pass through our defenders and move towards the capital of Ukraine,” Operational Command “North” reported.

The statement of our military claims that after a fierce battle the enemy was almost completely destroyed.

“And the tank personnel of the invader’s army were not destined to see the capital of our Motherland”, – says the message of the Operational Command “North”.

In the course of this battle, based on the published photos, the trophies of Ukrainian defenders include several T-72B tanks.

The russian anti-aircraft missile system “Tor” was also disabled.

Yesterday we reported that the Ukrainian army had liberated from the enemy two more settlements in the Chernihiv region.

In addition, the Russian military was prevented from establishing a pontoon crossing to advance towards Kyiv.
