The number of high-speed patrol boats of the project 03160 “Raptor,” which the Russian Black Sea Fleet lost in May can reach 5 units.

This assumption can be based on analyzing videos that were distributed by the military on May 2 and 8.

In the first video published by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhny, two hits at “Raptors” are shown.

The first boat was destroyed at 4 o’clock 38 minutes when it was attacked by high-precision ammunition at the left side of the nose of the boat. At the same time, the boat itself was with the engines turned off and did not move.

The second boat from the Zaluzhny`s video received a hit (the trajectory of the projectile could not be detected) at 4 o’clock 51 minutes. At the same time, the boat was in motion and was making a maneuver with a turn to the left.

On May 8, 2022, the Ukrainian Navy published a video showing elimination of three enemy boats.

Comparison of the footage of the three shots from the new video gives grounds to assume that military sailors have demonstrated hits that have not been shown before. There is no data on the date and time of filming.

The first boat from the new video received an incoming hit on the left side and at the same time was moving straight forward.

The second boat from the video of the Navy received a hit on the right side and at the same time was also in motion.

The third hit, which was shown by the sailors, was done to a fixed boat, but unlike the video of Zaluzhny, here the missile hit the left side.

Thus, we can assume that all 5 episodes are different hits in different boats.

In total, Russia has built, according to open data, 17 units of such boats. Of these, 7 units were serving in the Black Sea Fleet, and another Raptor was assigned to the Caspian Flotilla.

Earlier, “Azov” soldiers hit one of the “Raptors” near Mariupol.

Therefore, the Russian Federation has only one serviceable boat in the Black Sea and the opportunity to transfer another one from the Caspian Sea.

However, there is no data about the level of damage brought to each of the slaughtered boats, whether they have sank and what is the fate of the crew. It is possible that the Russian Federation can try to restore the boats. But for this they will need to carry out a search and rescue operation in the area that is under threat of new strikes by Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2.

By the way, the West has already noted that elimination of “Raptors” with the help of Bayraktar TB2is the first case in military history when unmanned vehicles defeat naval combat detachments.
