The UK will double the M270 multiple rocket launcher shipments to Ukraine.

It is reported that the country has already provided three launchers similar to the American HIMARS systems. They are using the same missiles with a firing range of up to 80 kilometers.

Defense Secretary Ben Wallace confirmed in an interview with the BBC that the United Kingdom will now ship three additional MLRS to Ukraine, along with a “significant” number of missiles for them.

According to him, this high-precision weapon is already assisting Ukraine in destroying Russian ammunition supply logistics and command centers.

Wallace stated this in Copenhagen, where he is participating in an international conference with allies who commit to continue military and financial assistance for Ukraine.

He said that Britain is “extremely satisfied” with the way Ukraine is using the missile launchers that were already provided by the West. According to him, the Ukrainian forces have demonstrated that they are very good at determining which objects to target so that they do not quickly run out of ammunition.

Ben Wallace noted that this is part of Ukraine’s transition from using old Soviet-era armory to more modern NATO weapons.

“Our continued support sends a very clear message: Britain and the international community remain opposed to this illegal war and will stand side by side in providing defensive military assistance to Ukraine to help it defend itself against Putin’s invasion,” the British minister said.

As previously reported, the first batch of M270 multiple rocket launcher systems arrived in Ukraine. Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, did not specify the number of delivered MLRS.

At the beginning of June, it was reported that the United Kingdom will transfer M270 missile systems and a significant amount of M31A1 ammunition to Ukraine. It was noted that Britain will ship M270 launchers, which are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 80 kilometers with high accuracy. Ukrainian military personnel is undergoing the appropriate training in Great Britain to use these transferred weapons effectively.
