Fighters of the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade conducted an air strike on a Russian military facility in the Bryansk Oblast.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yesterday, on February 27, the Air Force aviation successfully struck the Russian FSB border outpost in the village of Belaya Beryozka, where a communication and command center for Russian troops was deployed.
“As a result of the strike, important enemy military infrastructure was destroyed, including communications equipment, signal amplifiers, satellite communications equipment, and other technical means used to coordinate hostilities,” the General Staff stated.
The ministry noted that the strike significantly reduced the enemy’s ability to control forces and resources in the region.
The Ukrainian aviators’ Telegram channel “Sunflower” added that the strikes were carried out by pilots of the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade, also known as the “Ghost of Kyiv” flying MiG-29 fighter jets.
Two AASM high-precision 250-kilogram bombs were launched at the occupiers’ bases. Thanks to rocket boosters, they can be launched over long distances from low altitudes without entering the observation zone of Russian air defense systems.
Three days earlier, the same brigade had carried out bombing attacks on the Troyebortnoye border crossing in the Bryansk Oblast.
At the Troebortnoye checkpoint, there was a concentration of enemy personnel, as well as communications and electronic warfare equipment.
With the growing number of guided bombs in the Ukrainian arsenal, precision strikes against enemy positions and even manpower are becoming more frequent.
