On August 31, the Ghosts (Prymary) special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) hit the Russian Black Sea Fleet tugboat RB-371 of the 705BM project.
An OSINT analyst known as Evergreen Intel reported this on X.
The Russian tugboat RB-371 was attacked by an attack drone.
The destruction of this vessel will reduce the enemy’s ability to moor and tow ships and vessels of the Black Sea Fleet in the Black Sea.
RB-371 is a small steel low-draft tug with a wheelhouse and a twin-shaft diesel engine equipped with two 22 kW diesel generators.
Two DEUTZ BF6M1015MC diesel engines power the two propellers.
The RB-371 was designed by the Vympel Design Bureau in Astrakhan (Russia), launched in 2019 and towed to the Black Sea via inland waterways, after which it became part of the Black Sea Fleet.
The vessel is also designed to tow submarines in narrow places and shallow water.
Its autonomy ensures up to three days of operation without replenishment. The crew consists of only six people.
Specifications:
The DIU’s Ghosts special unit is actively working to destroy all Russian facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Recently, the unit carried out an operation to destroy key air navigation facilities and the GLONASS system of the Russian invaders in Crimea.
