Germany provides a new defense aid package for Ukraine

Germany announces a new military aid package for Ukraine, including armored vehicles and drones.

The relevant information appeared on the official website of the German government.

It includes, among other things, drones, artillery shells, and mine clearing systems.

It is noted that the assistance consists of two areas:

• financial resources from the German government for security capacity building, which are used to finance the supply of weapons and other industrial materials;
• funds provided by the German Armed Forces.

The new aid package from Germany to Ukraine includes, among other things, the following:

• Warthog all terrain tracked carrier;
• WISENT 1 mine clearing tanks;
• 6 thousand rounds of 155mm ammunition;
• 16 Vector reconnaissance drones;
• 30 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones;
• 30 frequency range extensions for anti-drone devices;
• 11 mobile, remote controlled and protected mine clearing systems;
• 3 mine ploughs;
• 70 IR cameras;
• 680 Haenel MK556 assault rifles;
• 120 Haenel CR308 rifles;
• 50 Haenel HLR338 precision rifles;
• one million rounds of ammunition for fire arms;
• 5 thousand detonators.

FFG’s Wisent 1 is based on the modified Leopard 1 main battle tank hull with the turret removed, it can accommodate different systems depending on the mission.

Furthermore, the Wisent 1 MC is outfitted with a lane marking system that lets succeeding units pass through cleared lanes securely.

The NATO standard STANAG 4569 Level 5 ballistic protection and Level 3 mine protection ensure the maximum possible safety of the crew.

The transferred Vector UAVs sustain continuous detection of enemy targets regardless of weather conditions, reach speeds up to 72 km/h, and withstands a long flight time.

This type of UAV provides real-time aerial reconnaissance data in an effective and user-friendly form due to built-in artificial intelligence, and the system also frees the operator from constant video control.

The aid package includes Heidrun UAVs that can transmit real-time video and collect intelligence data.

The data collection and streaming video transmission radiis reaches up to 30 km, while the generation of new 2D/3D mapping material reaches up to 25 kilometers.
