The German company ARX Robotics will integrate Ukrainian-made turrets into its ground robotic systems.
Ihor Kornilov, CEO of the ARX Robotics Ukraine office, shared this with Militarnyi.
The conversation took place on the sidelines of EXPO during the Defense Tech Innovation Forum 2025.
The Ukrainian office of the German company was recently opened in connection with the start of deliveries of ground drones to the Ukrainian Defense Forces with funding from the German government.
The main task of the Ukrainian office is to train the military in the operation and basic maintenance of ground drones, as well as provide technical support and maintenance.
According to the CEO of the Ukrainian office, the next step is to gradually localize the production of ARX Robotics ground robotic systems in Ukraine and scale up R&D processes.
The Ukrainian army is being supplied with GEREON RCS multi-purpose tracked platforms in a logistics version and case carriers for evacuating the wounded. Germany will assist the Ukrainian Defense Forces with 30 of these ground drones. The transfer was announced in November last year.
The German company is also working on integrating Ukrainian remotely controlled combat modules into its ground robotic systems.
“We are already working on integrating Ukrainian-made turrets into our platforms to expand the use of our robots,” Ihor Kornilov, CEO of ARX Robotics Ukraine, noted.
The platforms use three communication solutions for control: Silvus radio, 4G or 5G networks, and Starlink.
The GEREON RCS is a multipurpose modular tracked platform that can carry various payloads weighing up to 500 kilograms over a range of up to 40 kilometers. The family of drones includes four representatives: GEREON RCS, GEREON ATR, GEREON 3 and GEREON 2.
