Several train cars with gas and gasoline derailed in the Ulyanovsk region of Russia on the night of May 30.
The Russian online media Baza reported on this.
Photos and videos capturing the scene were also published on social media.
The incident happened near Ulyanovsk-2 station at 4 am local time.
One of the tanks overturned on its side. In total, two railroad cars derailed.
The cause of the moving train derailment is still unknown.
Russian media assume that the cause of the incident could be sabotage – traces of damage to railway tracks were allegedly found on the spot.
Telegram channel Rospartizan stated this to indeed be the sabotage on the railway.
However, this information has not been confirmed. The fact of sabotage is also denied by the emergency services working at the scene.
No casualties or spillage of oil products caused by the incident were reported.
Previously, in May, an explosion blasted out on the railway in Crimea occupied by the Russians. Several railway wagons of the freight train derailed as a result of the incident.
The railway line was blown up in the Simferopol district of temporarily occupied Crimea on the morning of Thursday, May 18.
