Law enforcement officers in Poland have detained a man on suspicion of bribery in connection with contracts for NATO and the United States.

This was reported by the country’s Central Investigation Bureau of the Police.

The agency added that FBI agents also participated in the arrest.

According to American sources, the detainee’s name is Ralph Grywnow. According to Polish law enforcement, he is a citizen of two countries — Poland and Germany.

The US suspects him of fraud and various types of bribery in connection with contracts for NATO and the US government. The Polish side detained Grywnow at the official request of the Americans.

Simultaneously with the arrest, law enforcement officers conducted searches at the suspect’s places of residence, during which representatives of the FBI and the Military Investigation Service of the US Department of Defense worked alongside the Polish police.

The issue of his extradition to the United States is currently being considered.
