Explosions in Vladivostok: Security Forces Inspect Vehicles as Military Helicopter Circles Overhead

In the morning, a series of explosions blasted in the Russian city of Vladivostok, after which security forces cordoned off the area, partially restricted traffic, and started inspecting vehicles.

A military helicopter was deployed and was seen circling over the populated area, according to media reports from the aggressor country.

According to Militarnyi’s sources in the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, this was an operation carried out by the Ukrainian special services.

The Anti-Terrorism Commission of Russia’s Primorsky Krai claimed a gas equipment malfunction near administrative buildings and parking lots in the settlement of Shchitovaya allegedly caused the explosions.

Following the incident, security forces and military personnel launched widespread vehicle inspections at the entrance to the settlement.

It is reported that no one was injured as a result of the incident, though several vehicles sustained minor damage. Special services are currently working at the scene.

An eyewitness told the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel about strange explosions near the settlement of Shchitovaya in Vladivostok.

“There was a mighty explosion at around 6:20 a.m. Panic broke out. Then everyone imaginable arrived, including the military, and a helicopter appeared in the sky. The soldiers told us it was supposedly a training exercise.”

This is not the first such incident in the Russian city, which hosts military units involved in the war against Ukraine.

Earlier this year, at the end of May, explosions occurred at facilities belonging to the 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet.

The incident took place on the outskirts of Vladivostok, in the area of the Desantnaya Bay, north of the city.

Militarnyi’s sources in the Ukrainian special services reported at the time that the explosion was the result of sabotage against a unit of the invasion forces.

The attack targeted the personnel and equipment of the 47th Airborne Assault Battalion from the aforementioned brigade of the aggressor country.
