The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Norway, and Sweden have allocated $500 million for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine.

This funding was allocated as part of the PURL initiative, according to European Pravda, citing the Dutch Ministry of Defense.

The Netherlands’ share of this aid package is approximately $106.7 million. This money will make it possible to quickly provide the Ukrainian military with the most needed equipment.

The funds will be used to purchase missiles for Patriot air defense systems, artillery shells, and ammunition for F-16 fighter jets.

Part of the funding will also go toward purchasing spare parts needed to maintain the weapons.

The head of the defense department stressed that this equipment will help the Ukrainian military to effectively operate the aircraft they have received.
