The Ukrainian Air Force conducted a strike on the enemy positions in the industrial zone of the village of Tetkino in the Kursk region of Russia.
The corresponding video was published by the Sunflower Telegram channel.
It is reported that the strike had been carried out by a MiG-29 fighter jet using a French AASM (HAMMER) high-precision bomb.
Judging by the footage, the bomb hit one of the buildings of a local sugar factory: it pierced the roof, detonated inside and destroyed an entire section of the structure.
According to Sunflower, the destroyed building housed enemy equipment and drones.
For reference, in 2023, this sugar plant sued the Russian Ministry of Defense, demanding compensation of RUB 75 million for the damage caused to the enterprise after it was occupied by Russian troops. However, the Russian court dismissed the claim.
In late March, Ukrainian aviation struck a command and observation post located on the territory of the neighboring Tetkino enterprise.
At the time, the Russians were trying to deploy a Murom long-range surveillance system and communication systems at the facility.
The strike was carried out on the top of the building, presumably using a GBU-39 small precision-guided bomb.
AASM is an upgrade kit for free-falling unguided aerial bombs, similar to the US JDAM.
It consists of a front part with a guidance system and flaps, and a rear part with an accelerator to increase the range.
France has two types of AASMs in service: Hammer-250 for Mk. 82 (227 kg) and Hammer-1000 for Mk. 84 (908 kg) bombs.
The nose part of the kit can be equipped with three variants of guidance systems: inertial with GPS correction, inertial with a thermal seeker, or inertial with laser guidance.
