Israeli defense company Elbit Systems plans to turn Germany into its main European hub for the production of missiles for the EuroPULS multiple launch rocket system.

This was reported by the Hartpunkt.

The company intends to supply ammunition from this hub not only to the Bundeswehr but also to other European armed forces. The system is currently being introduced in the Netherlands and Denmark, while Greece is considering placing an order.

Active negotiations are underway with German partners on establishing production facilities. Elbit Systems Germany is expected to take on a significant share of the work in close cooperation with local companies such as MBDA Germany and its subsidiary Bayern Chemie.

Bayern Chemie specializes in rocket engines, enabling the localization of critical technologies. MBDA is also working on the Joint Fire Support Missile, which is planned for integration into the EuroPULS system.

The long-term strategy предусматривает the production of all types of PULS ammunition directly in Germany. In particular, the Bundeswehr requires Extra missiles with a range of up to 150 kilometers.

In addition to combat munitions, the military is interested in short-range training missiles and specialized ammunition equipped with AT-2 anti-tank mines. A proposal to purchase an initial batch of missiles worth 25 million euros may be submitted to the Bundestag in the second half of this year.

Previously, the German Armed Forces ordered five launchers from Elbit for testing and certification. They are expected to form the basis of the Future Long-Range Indirect Fire System program.

The vehicles, being developed in cooperation with KNDS Germany, will be based on the IVECO Trakker 8×8 truck chassis, although the system architecture also allows the use of Oshkosh, RMMV, or Tatra platforms. The launcher design enables the simultaneous loading of missile pods of different calibers and sizes.

In addition, the German version of the EuroPULS will be equipped with a fire control system similar to that of the MARS II MLRS and will have a significantly broader range of weapons.

In addition to Israeli missiles, the system is planned to integrate AT-2 remote mine-laying missiles, the NSM anti-ship cruise missile, and the JFS-M cruise missile developed by MBDA.

Starting in 2026, Germany also plans to procure remote mine-laying missiles, Predator Hawk operational-tactical missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers, and loitering munitions.
