Strike drones hit a net-protected Russian oil depot in the Belgorod region.

On the morning of March 5, at about 8:50 a.m., fuel tanks exploded on the territory of the oil depot in the village of Dolgoye as a result of an unknown drone’s strike.

According to the 112 Telegram channel and local rescuers, one fuel tank had exploded. It belonged to JSC Belgorodnefteprodukt.

Ukrainian Pravda, citing sources in the Defense Intelligence, stated that the attack on the oil depot was an operation of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to their information, the oil depot, located 60 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border, was used for military purposes.

One of the published photos captures nets that were supposed to protect the fuel tank from possible drone attacks.

This may indicate that Russians have decided to introduce protection to their infrastructure facilities in the border regions. However, it is possible that the company installed the nets on its own initiative.

Previously, on February 15, an oil depot in the Kursk region of Russia exploded and caught fire as a result of a drone attack.

On January 19, a similar fire broke out at an oil depot in the town of Klintsy in the Bryansk region.
