On the night of November 11, Ukrainian drones attacked the Saratov Oil Refinery – one of the largest in Russia.

Local residents filmed the blaze at the facility, and the Exilenova+ Telegram channel published the videos of the incident.

The refinery, which belongs to the Russian oil company Rosneft, is located in the Zavodskoy district of Saratov.

Late at night, authorities in the city reported a drone attack, after which residents shared online accounts of a series of explosions.

Soon after, footage emerged showing a massive fire at the refinery site.

Meanwhile, Roman Busargin, the governor of the Saratov region, stated that the drone attack caused damage to civilian infrastructure, but did not provide any details.

The Saratov Oil Refinery is currently one of Russia’s largest industrial facilities for oil refining and the production of gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, road and roofing bitumen, vacuum gas oil, and technical sulfur.

As of 2024, the plant processed about 5.8 million tons of oil, accounting for 2.2% of Russia’s total refining volume.

In 2025, Ukrainian drones repeatedly targeted this Russian refinery. The previous attack took place during the night of November 2–3.

At that time, reports indicated that a drone strike hit the AVT-6 unit, which is responsible for the primary oil distillation process and is one of the refinery’s most important installations.

A fire broke out at the site after the strike, and witnesses captured it on video.

Earlier, attack drones also targeted an oil depot near the Likha railway junction station in Russia’s Rostov region.
