Another probable target of the drone attack in the Russian city of Ufa on the morning of April 2 was a manufacturer of components for the country’s military aviation.
Astra reported on this.
The company is JSC Ufa Aggregate Production Association, which is part of the Technodinamika holding within the state-owned Rostec corporation.
The enterprise specializes in producing complex electrical systems for aviation, ranging from ignition systems and engine spark plugs to electric motors, generators, and power converters that ensure the operation of onboard aircraft systems.
For example, components manufactured at this facility are used in Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers and Su-35 fighter jets.
In addition, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, JSC Ufa Aggregate Production Association produces components for the Kh-101 and Kh-59M2 missiles that Russia uses to carry out strikes against Ukraine.
Astra notes that the enterprise is located 550 meters from the building at 54 Gafuri Street in the Russian city of Ufa, where a drone crashed in the morning.
“Based on the pattern of damage to the building, the drone appears to have come from the southwest. The facility is located to the northeast of the building, so it is likely the drones were heading in that direction,” the online outlet clarified.
The plant is under sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, and Japan.
As a reminder, on Thursday morning, drones struck the AVT-5 primary oil processing unit at the Bashneft–Novoil refinery in the city of Ufa.
The capacity of this Russian oil refinery is about 7–7.4 million tons of oil per year. The facility produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, lubricants, and other petroleum products.
The refinery targeted by drones is located approximately 1,400 km from Ukraine.
