The RAROG unit managed to destroy a Russian 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar in the Donetsk region.

The RAROG unit has released statistics on destroyed invaders for June-2024, including a 2S4 Tyulpan.

The self-propelled mortar was destroyed in early June in the village of Verkhnotoretske in the Donetsk region.

The Ukrainian military said that before that, a Russian unit had fired on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. However, on its way back, it was destroyed.

The self-propelled mortar was stopped by ordinary FPV drones equipped with armor-piercing weapons.

“Thanks to friendly units and their FPV. It left, threw several times towards our positions, and died on the way back,” the military said.

The hit caused the ammunition to detonate. This led to the destruction of the unit.

This 2S4 Tyulpan 240mm self-propelled mortar is designed to destroy fortifications, manpower, and equipment.

In total, the unit’s statistics of destroyed equipment includes 3 tanks, 3 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 self-propelled artillery pieces and one cannon.

In June, the fighters also eliminated 14 invaders and various vehicles and military equipment.

The RAROG unit is a part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo and has been destroying the invaders with the help of attack drones for a long time.

During the war, the Ukrainian military destroyed a significant number of Russian 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortars. High-precision projectiles are also used to destroy such systems.
