On the night of September 12th, drones struck a Lukoil oil depot in the settlement of Kardymovo, the Smolensk region, Russia.
The location of the strike was identified by the CyberBoroshno community using videos posted by eyewitnesses on social media.
At least two impacts were recorded, after which a large fire broke out at the facility, visible to local residents.
In the spring of last year, this oil depot was almost completely destroyed by Ukrainian drones – at the time, only two out of sixteen oil tanks survived, while the rest were completely burned down during a massive fire.
Additionally, the attack resulted in nine fuel and lubricant storage tanks being completely destroyed by fire.
This oil depot belongs to Lukoil-Centernefteprodukt LLC.
In the morning, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation claimed that their air defenses had allegedly shot down 42 drones overnight over the Smolensk region.
