Drones Attack Sever-Akhmat Regiment in Chechnya

During the night of December 2, strike drones attacked a Kadyrovite military unit in the city of Gudermes, Chechnya.

The Supernova+ Telegram channel published a video of the attack.

According to the report, the footage – recorded by a witness – captures a drone hitting a building on the base’s grounds, followed by an explosion.

The published photo captures at least one three-story building damaged, likely one used to house Russian soldiers.

The city is home to the 78th ‘Sever-Akhmat’ Special Purpose Motorized Regiment, formed in early September 2022 by order of Ramzan Kadyrov.

This formation is part of the 42nd Guards Motor Rifle Division of the Russian Ground Forces and is taking part in the full-scale war against Ukraine.

On November 27, drones carried out a raid on the grounds of the 141st ‘Sever’ Special Motor Rifle Regiment in Grozny, which is also involved in the Russian invasion.

Another strike was also recorded on the 291st Guards Motor Rifle Regiment in the settlement of Borzoy.
