Drone operators of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade hit several armored vehicles and MLRS in the area of Toretsk.

The 28th Brigade posted the video on its official channel.

“The pilots of the 28th Brigade once again demonstrate aerobatics. Several armored personnel carriers, tanks, Grad multiple rocket launchers were hit and destroyed, and for dessert, Russian infantry was split into atoms,” the brigade reported.

The video captures that some of the armored vehicles were immobilized due to pre-arranged mining despite using homemade mine trawls. After that, it was finished off using bomber drones and FPV drones.

The vehicles that were not stopped by mining were hit by FPV drones, and drops and drone bombers killed the infantry. This included using TM-62 anti-tank mines as a drop to destroy enemy infantry in shelters.

The fighting in Toretsk

Fighting for the city has been ongoing since the end of June 2024 and for the city itself since the end of August 2024.

During this time, the Russians were able to capture a large part of the city, but fighting continues in the city’s urban areas. According to the DeepState project, the 9th and 1st motor rifle brigades of the Russian Armed Forces are advancing on the city.

Militarnyi previously reported that soldiers of the 12th Special Operations Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine captured 23 Russian invaders in the Toretsk sector.

It is noted that the Russians surrendered voluntarily; some of them were found in basements, and others were captured during storms of enemy positions.

On February 8, after the downing of the Su-25 by anti-aircraft gunners of the 28th Brigade, FPV drone operators prevented the evacuation of the pilot by attacking the helicopters of the evacuation team with FPV.

In total, four FPV drones were used, two of which attacked the Mi-8 on the ground, and two more, with a remote-controlled warhead, attacked the helicopters in the air.

However, according to the video, the drones failed to cause critical damage to the helicopters, which could leave the scene on their own. However, they managed to disrupt the pilot’s evacuation.
