Special forces of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine raided enemy positions on the Tendra Spit.

The operation was carried out on August 6, 2024, by the servicemen of the Artan active action unit and the DIU Naval Center.

In addition to the coordinated actions of personnel on high-speed boats, FPV drones were also used to destroy both equipment and invaders’ fortifications.

“At night, a Special Forces landing group landed on Tendrivska Spit and destroyed enemy armored vehicles, including MT-LB, an electronic warfare system, and destroyed fortifications,” the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine shared.

During the operation, the Russian invaders suffered losses among their personnel – the exact number is being clarified.

Having accomplished the task, including the covert part of it, the operators withdrew without losses.

It is stated that this is not the first successful mission of the DIU Special Forces to the Russian-occupied Tendra Spit.

“These actions are only a part of the large-scale plan of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, which is being implemented,” the DIU noted.

Raids by special forces into the occupied part of Ukraine are regular, and sometimes information about them is reported in the media. For example, back in November 2018, Russia 24 TV channel aired a story claiming that Ukrainian military intelligence officers Maksym Shapoval, Oleksandr Hromov, and Kyrylo Budanov were involved in a special operation in occupied Crimea near Armyansk on August 7-8, 2016.

At the time, the invaders suffered losses among both paratroopers and special forces and experienced Ukrainian intelligence officers retreated to the Ukrainian-controlled territory.
