The Ukrainian military continues to liberate settlements from Russian invaders in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces succeeded in ousting the enemy from more than twenty settlements.

The settlements are now under full control of Ukraine, stabilization measures are underway.

“During the retreat, Russian troops hastily abandon their positions and flee deep into the temporarily occupied territories or into the territory of the Russian Federation. This trend continues, ” the General Staff noted.

Over the past day, the invaders transported property and vehicles that were looted from local residents from the settlements of Velykyi Burluk and Dvorichna, Kharkiv Region.

The Russian military and their families also left the city of Svatovo, Luhansk Region, Now there remain only soldiers of the so-called “people’s militia” from local residents.

The enemy suffered significant losses in manpower after successful actions carried out by the Defense Forces in the Kherson direction.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces launched eight strikes: a platoon stronghold, six areas of concentration of enemy manpower and military equipment, as well as one anti-aircraft missile system.

Air defense destroyed 1 Orlan-10-type UAV, in addition, one guided Kh-59 missile, four guided sea-based Kaliber-type missiles and five air-based Kh-101-type cruise missiles were shot down.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian military reached the border with Russia in the north of the Kharkiv Region, returning the village of Hoptivka to control.

A day earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the liberation of the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv Region from Russian occupation.
