The Prymary (Ghost – ed.) special unit struck a tugboat as well as two Mi-8 helicopters at a Russian military air base near occupied Simferopol.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine published the video of the strike.

Reconnaissance strike drones broke through to the Russian Gvardeyskoye military air base and hit two multi-purpose helicopters: one drone struck the stern section of an Mi-8, while another hit near the second aircraft.

Another strike drone, during the aerial attack, was directed at a Russian vessel, which the intelligence operatives identified as a BUK-2190 tugboat, Project 04690.

The footage in the video is related to the attack on the military air base on the morning of August 30th, which resulted in a large-scale fire. At the time, enemy monitoring resources also reported a drone attack.

Satellite imagery confirmed the destruction of two helicopters, one of which was identified as a Mi-8, while the other was mistakenly identified as an Mi-24 attack helicopter.

In addition to the two helicopters that were hit, at the time of the attack, the occupiers had concentrated three more Mi-8 helicopters, three Mi-24 attack helicopters, as well as An-26 and Tu-134UBL aircraft at the air base.

It should be noted that initially, following the explosion at the air base, reports claimed that aviation fuel tanks had been struck, but this information later turned out to be false.

It is worth recalling that the breach of air defenses at the Russian air base was preceded by a strike by the special unit on a Russian 91N6 radar, which is part of the S-400 air defense system.

Over the past year, the Prymary special unit has conducted a large-scale campaign to destroy Russian radars and anti-aircraft systems on the occupied peninsula, creating space for the use of long-range drones against strategic targets of the Russian Armed Forces.

As a result, just in the past month, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a series of raids in which up to six fighter jets were struck at the Saky military air base.

In addition, Mi-8, Mi-26 transport helicopters, and a Mi-28 attack helicopter were previously struck at the Kirovske military air base – a fact later confirmed by satellite imagery.
